Impotance Of Biology.
Impotance of biology.
To understand the importance of biology, let us first define it. Biology is the study of life. It came from the ancient Greek word bios which means life, and logos which means study. Biologys main concern revolves on everything that is living, including those that affect them, whether it be another living thing or a nonliving thing.
The importance of biology is that it enables us to understand every living thing on Earth, including our own species. Biology is split into many other disciplines that are related to life, e.g. microbiology, anatomy, morphology, zoology, botany, taxonomy, and more. These disciplines give us different foci on what we want to learn about life. As the species that holds the highest cognitive development, it is fair to say that it is our duty to know more about other living things that we share this planet with. This will help us coexist with them and protect the future generations to come. Protecting the future means protecting ourselves in the present, too. All of these can be achieved once we learn more and understand life itself.
